Digital Disruption and agriculture

Abstract:

Emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things, 5G mobile, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain promise to transform many areas of the economy including agriculture. This presentation will demystify these technologies, explaining both their opportunities and limitations. It will then look at some specific applications in agriculture.

The Australian Society of Agronomy is the professional body for agronomists in Australia. It has approximately 500 active members drawn from government, universities, research organisations and the private sector.
